Summer in the North is all about long days, wild waters and good fishing. Our fly fishing trips are built around grayling, whitefish, salmon and seatrout with each day tailored to the conditions and to you.
Our base in Kilpisjärvi puts us in a unique position, with a wide variety of rivers and lakes within reach. Weather and water conditions can change quickly this far north, so we stay flexible. If the wind picks up in one place or the conditions look better somewhere else, we adapt and go where the day gives us the best opportunity.
Winter Fishing
Winter in the North is about much more than catching fish. Frozen lakes, deep snow and the rough Arctic landscape create an experience of their own. Quiet, wild and far away from everyday life.
Our ice fishing trips focus on Arctic char, grayling and whitefish. We spend the day out on the ice, enjoying good fishing and the changing winter conditions, with plenty of time to take in the landscape around us.
And a winter fishing day wouldn’t be complete without a break by the open fire. Simple fire-cooked snacks, something warm to drink and good company are all part of the experience.

Where you stay is up to you. You’re welcome to choose any accommodation in Kilpisjärvi and simply join us for the fishing or make Kalamaja your home while you’re here.
Kalamaja is our cozy cabin and fishing base in Kilpisjärvi, made for slowing down after a day on the water or ice. It’s a place to relax, share stories from the day and enjoy the quiet of the North.
Kalamaja can be added to your fishing trip as an optional extra, giving you your own comfortable base for the adventure.

Jussi Jurvelin
Jussi is easy going fly fisherman & outdoorsman for whom the good and relax day by the water is the priority one. His expertise is particularly focused on fly fishing of anadromous species as well as local mountain fish species, both winter and summer fishing.
Over 30 years of fly fishing has taught much needed patience as well trick or two to be utilized when conditions aren`t optimal.
